So glad the Fast Track Pro is working now, hope all holds well with the new driver. Download the latest drivers from the M-audio website ( do NOT use the ones that came with it) install it, plug the fast track in once it tells you to(or if it doesnt, after the install). (I did this just to delete any reference to the old driver settings.Īfter Samplitude restart I opened up one of the songs that had the most problems with the M-Audio Fast Track Pro and the problems were gone, no more distorted static or buffer drop-outs during recording.Īlso after the driver and firmware update, I also noticed better input signals coming from the Fast Track and the wave forms do look much better with nice full sounding guitar tones also the effects work much better now that they have better wave forms to deal with. Anyways, first keep the device UNPLUGGED from the computer. Open Samplitude and Restore default application behavior from the Help menu. Powered on the M-Audio Fast Track Pro and the new driver immediately prompted to update the firmware on the unit. Install the new driver from Avid “Install_M-Audio_Fast_Track_Pro_6.1.10.exe” Un-installed the old driver “M-Audio FastTrackPro 6_0_7“ from the Windows Programs & Features in Windows 8 This is the proceedure I followed to update the driver and firmware on the M-Audio Fast Track Pro This update applies to the following USB i/o sound card devices: Hope this may help someone having problems with their M-Audio sound card.
